Pumpkins are orange because of the powerful antioxidant beta carotene and also contain carotenoids which have free-radical neutralizing benefits, and vitamin C. Between the pumpkin and banana in this recipe you’ll receive almost 100 mg of potassium which can help restore you body after a hard workout.

Ingredients:

  • 1⁄2 cup canned pumpkin puree
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1/2 cup almond or coconut milk
  • 1 scoop protein powder of your choice ( we like vanilla flavoured)
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup (to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon tsp cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • Up to 1 tablespoon allspice kernels (or 1 teaspoon allspicepowder)
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1⁄2 cup ice cubes
